I will overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.

Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
